Working with families has always been a highly rewarding experience for me. As a consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist with over a decade of experience, I have had the privilege to understand that the best clinical results can be achieved by putting my patients at the centre of what I do, while recognising the invaluable resource that parents and families can provide with the right support.

I have extensive experience working with young people and families facing a range of mental health challenges, from common difficulties to complex conditions. I also specialise in supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

I completed my medical training (MBBS) in India, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Systemic Therapy. My specialist training was undertaken through the esteemed Tavistock and Portman Trust training scheme, equipping me with a comprehensive skill set in mental health care.

My therapeutic approach incorporates a range of evidence-based modalities, including Systemic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), alongside Mindfulness and Mentalisation techniques. I am committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care while adopting a strengths-based, holistic approach that recognises each family's unique needs and capabilities.

I strongly believe in co-production, empowering young people and families to play an active role in managing their mental health. In my current role as Associate Clinical Director at a large hospital specialising in adolescent mental health, I continue to champion this collaborative approach, ensuring that care is tailored to the individual.

Having worked with families from diverse cultural backgrounds, I have come to appreciate that, despite differences, the common thread is the deep love families share. My role is to hold hope for recovery and guide families on their journey towards their goals and aspirations.

As a new parent myself, I have gained a renewed appreciation for my personal time. In my spare moments, I enjoy hosting dinner parties for friends and family and singing in my choir.
