"I believe in a person centered, and holistic approach to mental health care. This includes carrying out a detailed and comprehensive assessment, addressing biological, psychological, emotional and social factors, allowing me to formulate a bespoke treatment plan, that aims to help individuals achieve optimal mental well-being, empowering them to pursue and achieve their life goals. This would be done collaboratively with the individual and would cover medication when there is evidence for it, lifestyle factors and psychological approaches."

I completed my medical degree at the University of Bristol and pursued my psychiatric training at South West London and St George’s Mental Health Trust, becoming a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2009. I am dual-trained, having obtained my Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in both General Adult Psychiatry and Substance Misuse.

With over seven years of experience as an NHS Consultant Psychiatrist, I have worked across a range of settings, including Adult Community Assessment and Recovery Teams and Acute Inpatient Services. I also designed and led an innovative and highly successful Psychiatric Decisions Unit. Later, I took on a leadership role at a private rehabilitation, recovery, and personality disorders inpatient unit. Subsequently, I worked within a private outpatient service, assessing and managing individuals with various mental health conditions, where I developed a special interest in ADHD and played a key role in establishing ADHD care pathways.

Throughout my career, I have led numerous quality improvement projects within both NHS and private sectors. My work has involved designing, implementing, and leading new services and treatment pathways, as well as developing evidence-based, best-practice guidelines and policies in areas such as physical healthcare, pharmacological therapies, and patient involvement initiatives.

I am passionate about education and hold a Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) in Healthcare and Biomedical Education. I have provided supervision and teaching for medical students and psychiatric trainees and have presented at national psychiatric conferences.
