QUALIFICATIONS
I have over 14 years of experience as a paediatric Speech and Language Therapist, working primarily within mainstream schools as well as specialist provisions. My work in schools has been a cornerstone of my career, involving assessments, developing language programmes and interventions, supporting Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) applications, and advising on environmental adjustments and strategies. Through my assessment work, I have played a key role in the diagnostic process, contributing to a deeper understanding of a child’s strengths and needs to ensure they receive the appropriate support within their educational setting. I have worked with children facing a range of challenges, including autism, developmental language disorder (DLD), speech disorders, and global learning difficulties.
More recently, I have been part of two Autism diagnostic services in London, working within a multi-disciplinary team. I have greatly valued the opportunity to learn from the young people I have met, gaining insight into how they experience Autism and neurodiversity. This ongoing learning continues to shape my diagnostic practice and strengthens my ability to advocate for the children and young people I work with.
